We’ve talked about the armour.
In the last transmission, we’ve talked about what becomes possible when you take it off.
Now let’s talk about why it’s still on.
The answer isn’t weakness. It isn’t unwillingness. It’s that most men were never shown the next stage of what it means to be a man. There was no rite of passage from boyhood into manhood. Personally I feel like I was handed a partial blueprint and the rest I have had to figure out for myself. I consciously began this journey 6 years ago when I was confronted with the question…
‘What does it mean to be a mature embodied man?’
Being in an intimate relationship with a conscious embodied woman will naturally call that man forward.
What I discovered after studying and reflecting on the book ‘King, Warrior, Magician, Lover’ is that most men have an immature masculine attitude because they have only been exposed to the immature aspects of the 4 masculine archetypes.
What most men don’t realize is that every shadow behaviour… the numbing, the checking out, the performance, the inability to be truly present and in-body has an archetype behind it that is operating from its immature expression. The man isn’t broken. The archetype is undeveloped.
The truth is, being a man means to bring the archetypes of the Warrior, Lover, Magician and King to a mature and balanced expression. Without this awareness and a desire to cultivate a mature masculine attitude, you will experience overwhelm in every area of life, be it health, prosperity or relationships.
The Warrior
The truth is, most men are not connected with their inner warrior. As a result they lack the courage, motivation and discipline of mind to confidently navigate the edge of their comfort zone and challenge themselves in new ways. This creates a weak frame of mind, as men entrap themselves in habitual patterns of behaviour where they continuously give their power away to things outside themselves… entertainment, porn, substances, dysfunctional relationships… leaving them drained and disempowered each day.
And the men I work with most… high-performing, driven, capable men… often have the opposite problem. They found the warrior early and have been expressing his shadow.
My parents were special forces soldiers and fighters. They were willing to compromise themselves in order to be combat ready. As a result they lived with a lot of pain. That was the warrior I was handed… masochistic, self-sacrificing, battle-ready at all times. I wore it well. Until I understood that true warrior energy isn’t about how much you can endure. It’s about being masterful with your energy. Setting clear boundaries with yourself, your family and those you are here to serve. Not leaking energy. Not giving your attention… your most valuable currency… to things that drain you without return.
‘Where focus goes, energy flows. And where energy flows, whatever you’re focusing on grows.’
The mature warrior is efficient and chooses his battles wisely. He protects his energy as fiercely as he protects his family.
The Magician
For me the magician archetype is about cultivating awareness of higher information… particularly around the universal laws, the principles that govern the universe, energy and nature. I had the twelve universal laws on my wall. Continuously reading and integrating them. What this did was help me continue to take more responsibility for every thought, word and action, and remember that it was always my choice what state of being I was in.
The shadow aspect of the magician was learning how to share that knowledge in a responsible way and not try to impose it on others or bring it to them when they weren’t necessarily ready for it. Certain knowledge needs to be offered gradually. Otherwise it can actually set people back… just like intense physical training or a really intense spiritual awakening can cause a man to contract rather than expand. The mature magician knows how to skillfully harness knowledge and wisdom.
The Lover
I have always been a lover of the human experience especially around celebration…dancing and consciously consuming quality food, drink, and smoke. Especially a quality cigar!
I love adventure and experiencing new things, new cultures and ways of being. I love the sensual experience. I love to make love with my beloved wife. I love to train in martial arts, particularly Systema, and challenge myself with other men. I love the elements and being in nature. I also love the comfort of home.
The shadow aspect of the lover was being like Peter Pan. Avoidant. Overly indulgent at different points in my journey. The mature lover isn’t less sensual… he is more embodied, more present, more aware and honouring the sacred energy exchange of every relationship. By doing so he allows the feminine to feel safe to truly relax and open. A lost boy can’t do that.
The King
The king for me is about having the vision and being in service while maintaining a direct connection with higher intelligence. Remembering my connection with Source Energy… light source above and life force below… and allowing that to continuously expand my field and my king-dome of influence and action so I can serve at a higher capacity and really create a space of love and safety for my family and I to thrive in common unity (community).
The king also acknowledges and honours the queen. In this case, Sasha. But ultimately Sasha is an outer reflection of my inner feminine, which I also acknowledge and honour. This is essentially what created the template for Sasha to enter my life.
When we can bring balance and harmony between the two polarities within us it allows us to be the embodiment of our True self… our material self (ego) in service to our spiritual self (higher dimensional aspect).
I have integrated the mature masculine archetypes into an internal structure that I use myself and share with the men I work with. It keeps these energies and their qualities in conscious awareness… accessible, embodied, active in daily life rather than theoretical.
I am returning men to a sense of wholeness… where they feel truly safe to acknowledge and honour the inner feminine, and bring balance and harmony between the masculine and feminine polarity within them. To truly acknowledge and honour the spiritual and the material. To acknowledge and honour their lineage, their ancestry, and use that strength and resilience to move forward on their soul’s path.
The boy who put the armour on was doing the best he could with what he was given.
Love that boy. He cannot lead your relationship. He cannot hold your woman. He cannot build the kingdom you are here to build.
The question is no longer who that boy was. The question is who the man is ready to become.
This is the work of the private immersions. In person. One man at a time.
If you’re ready to stop working with an incomplete blueprint… reach out.
I hope these last three transmissions have inspired and even empowered you to embark on your own transformational journey. I would love to hear about it in the comments.
